WHAT IS ALLOY UNS N04400 ?
Alloy400, UNS N04400 alloy, German standard W.Nr.2.4360, a typical nickel-copper alloy, a pioneering work of nickel-based alloys, is a corrosion-resistant alloy with large amount, wide application and excellent comprehensive performance. This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorine gas media, as well as hot concentrated alkali. It is also resistant to corrosion by neutral solutions, water, seawater, atmosphere, organic compounds, etc. An important feature of this alloy is that it generally does not produce stress corrosion cracking and has good cutting performance.
Executive Standard
The implementation standard of UNS N04400 alloy morphology:
1. Flat coiled material: ASTM B127 and ASME SB127;
2. Bars: ASTM B164 and ASME SB164;
3. Welded pipes: ASTM B751 and ASME SB751;
4. Tubing: ASTM B165 and ASME SB165;
5. Heat exchange tubes: ASTM B163 and ASME SB163;
6. Nickel alloy forgings: ASTM B564 and ASME SB564
